Ingredients
- 1 tube Refrigerated cinnamon roll dough with icing, approximately 8 rolls
- 1 tbsp Unsalted butter, for the pan
- 1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon, optional
Instructions
- Prepare low-to-moderate indirect campfire heat or a camp stove.
- Generously butter a 10-inch cast-iron skillet or Dutch oven. Arrange cinnamon rolls in the pan with a little space between them.
- Cover tightly with a lid. If using a Dutch oven over coals, place most of the heat above/around the lid and use only moderate bottom heat to avoid burning.
- Cook approximately 20–30 minutes. Rotate the pan or lid periodically if heat is uneven.
- Beginning around 20 minutes, check the center rolls. The rolls are finished when puffed, golden, and fully baked through in the center.
- Remove from heat. Cool approximately 5 minutes. Drizzle with the included icing. Add optional cinnamon if desired.

Chef's Notes
INDIRECT HEAT: Cinnamon rolls burn quickly over aggressive direct heat. DUTCH OVEN: Top heat helps them bake more like they would in an oven.
