Ingredients
- 16 pieces dill pickle chips or spears
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1/3 cup ranch dressing
- as needed oil spray
Instructions
- CRITICAL: Drain pickles and pat VERY dry with paper towels. Wet pickles will cause the breading to slide off.
- Set up three dishes: flour, beaten eggs, and panko mixed with garlic powder, paprika, and salt.
- Dredge each pickle in flour, dip in egg, then coat in panko. Press gently so crumbs adhere.
- Lightly spray with oil spray. Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket — do not overlap.
- Air fry at 400°F / 204°C for 7–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp.
- Serve immediately with ranch or spicy ranch (ranch + sriracha). Fried pickles are best eaten right away.
Chef's Notes
Chef's Notes: Patting the pickles completely dry is the most important step — wet pickles = breading that falls off. These are best eaten immediately and do not reheat well. If using spears instead of chips, add 1–2 minutes to cook time. Contains: Egg, Wheat, Milk.
