Ingredients
- 4 ears corn on the cob, husked
- 2 tbsp melted butter or olive oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 4 wedges lime wedges
- 2 tbsp grated cotija or Parmesan
Instructions
- SAFETY: Cut corn lengthwise using a sharp knife on a stable cutting board. Keep fingers away from the blade. Microwave each ear for 2 minutes first to soften the cob and make cutting safer. Cut each ear lengthwise into quarters to create rib-shaped pieces.
- Brush corn ribs with melted butter. Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt.
- Arrange corn ribs in the air fryer basket in a single layer. They will curl as they cook.
- Air fry at 400°F / 204°C for 10–14 minutes, turning midway, until edges are charred and corn is tender.
- Squeeze lime over corn ribs and sprinkle with cotija or Parmesan if using. Serve immediately.
Chef's Notes
Chef's Notes: Cutting corn lengthwise requires a sharp knife and a stable surface — microwaving first softens the cob for safer cutting. The ribs will curl and shrivel as they cook, which is normal and desirable. Contains: Milk (if using cheese).
